Pedestrians need to be fitted with indicators. Or just use the cyclist arm-waving method.
Also stop lights, except that I have never seen the cyclist equivalent of that in the wild so maybe it would be unfair. (I have on occasion actually wanted to use that signal but was 99.9% sure that it would just cause confusion in everyone else on the road, & also possibly lead to taxis actively *trying* to run me over for being a nutter.)
Yeah, for me it's mostly the dumb ass wandering into the road whilst on mobile phone. And therein lies the problem. The word 'mobile'. If we'd called them 'personal' phones we wouldn't have such a hard time trying to keep people stationary whilst using them.
Ban people using phones whilst actually moving I say!
my thing is people crossing side roads. They look down the side road. They look up the main road. But do they look over their right shoulder to check the traffic behind them?
do they bollocks.
People with pushchairs do this with alarming frequency. I comfort myself that this is a form of natural selection by proxy.
You say that, but I've nearly been taken out by a human shield pushchair, bring a motorcycle to a halt with the front wheel sliding is never a fun day out
