today
Today we went to the bottom of Africa; the southernmost tip where the oceans meet.
This is me, standing between the Indian and the Atlantic oceans.

As soon as i head that there was a place, the very bottom of Africa, where the Indian and Atlantic met, i was desperate to go there. Places like this - boundaries, in-between places are fascinating to me, and i love just being there. Fortunately, on the way there were two of mum's favourite places - a HUGE candle shop and a gallery/cafe called Julians.
The candle shop is MASSIVE, and if i had loads of money and an unlimited weight limit and space in my suitcase, i could have spent a fortune.

The candled here are so unusual and beautiful, and there's so much variety. In the end, we left with 2 things - an impangele feather candle for mum and a heart, hand made out of barbed wire, for me.
Then we headed to Julians, where i had the HUGEST plate of food i couldn't even finish and mum's wine cost less than my soft drink.
We found an item that i am not sure was for sale in the gallery/shop section...

I also saw a HUGE insect outside the dining area:

I took a picture with him next to my credit card to show scale, and posted it here. I then realised that posting a photo of your credit card on the internet is perhaps not the wisest course of action...
Then we continued on to Cape L'Agulhas, the southernmost point of Africa.
I totally misread this sign:

Standing between two oceans:

Sitting in front of the Atlantic Ocean:

Sitting in front of the Indian Ocean:

Apparently, the Indian ocean is warm, and the Atlantic cold. We tested both, and they felt the same to us...
I wish i could have stayed here longer - i loved the feel of the place. I have to come back so i can spend a whole day here! On the way back we saw Cape L'Agulhas Lighthouse - apparently you can go right up it, but we didn't have time.

We also saw an awesome boat.
Mum and I invented a game on the way home (well, mum invented it, i helped make it better...) which i shall no doubt make you all play in the pub some time. It's not as good as one to ten,. but still pretty fun ;)
Right now, there's an amazing view of the mountains and the odd cloud action that's going. This photo in no way does the view justice.

Quad biking tomorrow! Rar!!
