Two things

1 - Biffy Clyro's Who's Got A Match bears a striking musical resemblance to Abba's Lay All Your Love On Me

2 - They just said on the radio that the McCanns are in talks to make a film about 'Maddy'. I can't find anything about this on the net as of yet. Is anyone actually surprised? I remember many people saying months ago, around the time of their visit to the pope, that the film wouldn't be far behind.

3ยน - EVERY SINGLE TIME I turn my radio on, Parka's Disco Dancer is either playing at that moment, or is played within 30 seconds of me listening. Either XFM are playing it every 5 minutes, or I'm being stalked by Parka.

Not that I mind, they're a rather excellent band and very good live. Still, it's a bit weird, especially in the light of the Small World Co-incidence that I saw Parka play with Suzerain ages ago, and when [livejournal.com profile] karfunked and I were exchanging music early on in our relationship, I sent him 'Disco Dancer' and 'Mr Optimistic'. And it turns out, [livejournal.com profile] kafunked went to school with the keyboardist.

1 - whoops

Assuming her parents aren't nefariously involved somehow, I can't begin to imagine how something like this would affect them.

Wouldn't they have tie final say on the use of their own story? Could film companies go ahead and make a film about them without their permission? I'm not sure how things like that work, I guess I'd assumed they'd have to approve it in some way.

But then I guess people can write unauthorised biographies.

I would have also thought that while the investigation is still going on, they can't actually make the film? Not until it's all over?

My ignorance of How Life Works, let me show you it.

Apparently they can't make the film until the McCanns are not 'Arguido' any more, but they appear to behind the whole idea, as one of the main purposes of the film is to make money for their fund.

Ah. So the alleged film does, in all likelihood, have something to do with them in the first place.

That's what I suspected.

I may have to keep my opinions on that to myself to prevent deeply offending anyone more than I already have....
