It's an American remake of an amazing Japanese film, and the trailers confirm all my fears about American remakes. Over expostion, flashy special effects, cute children, a flashy score. ug. So they've kept the plot, and removed everything that makes the original one of the most distubing films i have ever seen.

So, when it comes out, do yourself a favour and see the original instead.

Please no not give the TWATS involved in the remakeing of this film ANY of your time and money.

I felt this way about the remake of "Wings of Desire" (City of Angels?) and still refuse to watch it even on cable for no money.

"Ring" was excellent (the Japanese original-even the sequel is decent)

the whole trilogy rocks. we plan to have a ring night at some point... maybe when the remake comes out!!
