White Horse in High Wickham with (band whose name i've forgotten), Dissolution, and (band whose name i've forgotten).

The White Horse is pretty well known for being a long running music venue - has had lots of famousish bands play there, a lot of bands who later signed to Earache. Matt-the-Drummer was telling me about it, but i've forgotton who he said.

It's also known for having free lap dancers during the day. Hal was most dissapointed we missed them by half an hour.

got there on time, no problems loading in, and i'd forgotten what a pleasure it is to play somewhere where the management give a shit. There's a *huge* room for the bands to sit and chill and change in, a rider (which none of us were compos mentis enough to take advangtage of, and most of it is sitting in the van still) and they pay us. which is always nice.

The other bands all seem to have an average age of 16 - some had to leave right after they played due to having school the next day.. They were all good though, a good mix of enthusiasm, talenet and diversity.

First band -(name i forget) -apart from having a singer who looked disturbingly like a 20 stone version of [livejournal.com profile] fuzzygoth were really cool - old skool metal in a pantera stylee - and very tight. Even if you don't like that sort of thing, you could see how good they were.

Second band -Dissolution, the youngest band have a whole ton of potentioal, but they need to take the mike stand and the bottle of water away from the female singer to make her move rather than stare at the floor...

The band on after (name i forget) - had a tiny tiny bassist with a masive bass and a huge voice. I got some idea of what people must think when they first hear me do The Voice... They were also very good.

Us - The mates of some of the earlier bands had left, so our audience was small, but appreciative. I like that type of audience. We did a long set, half way i i was utterly utterly knackerd - glad we're only doing a short set tonight! The new stuff went down really well, especially Army and In Stasis. Due to an embarassingly long soundcheck and our wonderful Sound Geezer Tom we sounded fab, and the on stage mix was good, and everybody did a fab job. And you missed it. neeeuuurrr :P

Our free sample CDs went in about 2 seconds, i had to take some names and addreses from people who wanted them and were dissapointed they didn't get one o_O

Stopped off at 1 am at a 24 hour tescos for food - just like being back on tour.

We are all utterly knakered now, i'm hoping we call pull it off tonight... We may not have a big crowd, as we're on at the ridiculous time of 7.15!

Saturday doors open at 7 - i believe our stage time will be somewhere around 9.30, 10, 10.30... something like that.

Hope to see you there!!
