Censorship gone stupid?

Was watching TMF t'other night and Goldie Looking Chain's 'yer mum's got a penis' came on.

And they blanked out evey single incidence of the word 'penis' and on one occasion 'bottom'.

I thought blanking out 'ho' on Gwen's 'What you waiting for' was daft enough, and yes, I have rather strong anti-censourship views. But I can't be alone here in thinking blanking out the words 'penis' and 'bottom' are just fucking stupid? They showed the title of the song on screen at the beginning and the end without blanking it o_O

Is a name for a part of your anatomy, and a real name at that not a slang one, really an offensive word? Do we have to protect innocent children from learning the word 'penis' and 'bottom'? ?

I'm gobsmacked here. Any opinions?
