emmelinemayBeen reading through the comments from the BBC website about the film. I'm AMAZED at the breadth of opinions, i can't recall a film adaption that has had so many divided opinions from both hardcore fans and people new to the text.
I think the best points made are concerning the fact that the Book, TV Show and Radio show were all very different from each other, not straight adaptions of each other, and were re-written for each medium; and the film should be viewed similarly - as a film version of HG2G, and not as an adaption of any of the previous versions.
