So who's going?

And can we meet up? The ride will be WAY more fun with friends!

I'm super busy today, I've clearly picked the wrong time to have time off work. Arrgh.

Didn't register in time :(

Are you going to come zombie walking on Saturday?

Can't, have a wedding reception in the evening, and saturday daytime is the only spare time i have for ages to actually sort my room out, do laundy, you know, normal things!

but even if you are overworked and stressed - the reason for having had the time off work made it all worthwhile.

yes it did :)

I just wish it wasn't over. I've hit reality with quite a bump!

what time?

booo. Turn up anyway! I was wondering how they'd stop people cycling the route anyway, if you started it randomly rather than from a 'hub'?

I think set-off time is between 10.30 and 1.30 there. We were going to gather at 10, don't want to wait till 1.30 to start! Why, thinking about joining us?

i've been looking at this and am a bit confused by it all, to be honest!! I might just go for the islington or hackney one as they are the two closest to me, and hope i meet people along the way.

We can try to co-ordinate mid-route, or once we get to the festival :)

Yeah, I registered for the Wandsworth one and then realised that the meeting point is miles away, when Clapham Common is just down the road. So we're just going straight to the Common.
I am wondering what route we're taking though, given that is says the routes are 9 miles and it's less than half that from Clapham Common to St James' Park!
We can exchange numbers and coordinate leaving times perhaps?

did that work? hopefully you have my number now!

I'm sure we'll manage to meet up at *some* point along the route! Still undecided whether to dress up as a pirate or not, i've done that quite a lot lately, i don't want to get bored of it ;)

Yup, I sent you a text! :-)

We're witches and wizards at our end. Should be fun, although capes may be a bad idea...

If you are dressing up, then i will too :) I have a feeling that my local one is superheroes, but bugger that! PIRATES FTW.

I'm pretty sure Captain Jack counts as a superhero pirate. ;-)

I'll have to get creative, I'm completely and utterly skint so can't buy an outfit. But I've got to have some black satin lying around somewhere...

Did my text arrive?

yes, just now! I have your number saved!

On the plus side, it's halloween season so the shops are full of cheapy witches hats :)

The advantage to dressing like a pirate is I already have all the necessary bits. Not sure a pirate hat would stay on in a breeze though!!

Oh yeah, that's a good point! I'll head up to the jokeshop in Clapham Junction and see what they have there for £1.99. :-)

I have all piraty bits as well, but sadly that's North London. Ah well, I'm sure I'll figure something out.

bollocks to area. If i want to be a pirate, I'm bloody well going to be a pirate.

None of this underpants-over-trousers lark.

I feel awful that I can't actually remember the last time I saw you so will make up for it with a chinwag :-)

I'm going, just got my pack through the post today, do I actually have to wear the silly bib thing you think?

I was planning to meet Nick at Greenwich and cycle in myself via my own route, I don't see any reason to go out of the way to peckham. I'm sure we can just enter the route at Southwark road.

I've got a few other people taking part who I'm hoping to meet at some point. You still got my mobile number? It's my first post on my LJ if you need it.

Ok well I'll aim to be around for midday ish

I was looking atht eofficial start from greenwich and they go via peckham, no chance, that involves going very out of the way and entering peckham! We should sort out meeting!
