Which means the 'famous person' I'm nearest to according to their website is The Dali Lama, which is nice.

take the test here.

I imagine a fair number of my friends list will be around there too, with a few exceptions!

I hope people can get through all the questions as I am interested to know!!

Me too. Not far off Ghandi. It's not a bad place to be.

Some of those statements made me very cross!

Yes, some of them were awful. Although I misread one and did the righteous "NO I DO NOT AGREE" until I realised that it said "Two people of the same sex should be able to adopt", not "shouldn't"...

I am v glad I noticed that. :-)

Some of the double negative ones had be having to think them through too. I probably answered some completely wrong because my head was like um - so I don't agree that this isn't...um, wasn't, um...

That one nearly got me too!!!

I was one click away from "NO I DO NOT AGREE" until I read it properly.

*is sheepish*

I think it was the tone of the preceding questions that did it!

It's depressing that so few of the "famous people" are on the libertarian side of the line, isn't it?

well, is suppose he IS a bigot....

the dali lama said in 1997 "men to men sex and woman to woman sex is sexual misconduct"
and in 2001 "sexual organs were created for the reproduction between the male element and the female element and anything that deviates from this is not acceptable"
and in 2001 endorsed the anti-abortion lobby group called "consistent life"
and in 1996 published a collection of religious teachings stating that masturbation is forbidden
and in 1997 declared oral & anal sex were not acceptable even between a man and wife
and in "beyond dogma the challenge of the modern world" said having sex during the day was sexual misconduct.

it would seem that even the pope's more "right-on" than the dali lama

(I actuallly think I'm less Libertarian than that, really...due to thinking the Govt shouldn't allow people to do stuff that hurts themselves such as taking drugs, which I think a proper Liberal would say people should be able to do if they want, however these questions weren't even in there)
