I am going to have to completely re-trim the friend of list, for a number of reasons, but the main one being work has just (literally at about half 5 this evening) put a block on certain sites. LJ has been blocked for 'pornographic content and swearwords'. it even counted the frequency of particular swearwords. Dear god but you buggers swear a lot.

Anyway, this means I can't keep up with reading even my filtered views anymore; especially if I end up moving somewhere with no internet access.

I've also become aware that using LJ saps my ability to communicate in person, I alrady know what's going on in your life, you know what's going on in mine, so there is no conversation. Add to this, the worries I'm sure many of us have about having so many people we barely know with access to details of our personal lives.

If I know you well IRL, if I comment regularly on your posts or you on mine, or if I know you well and have no other means of contact other than LJ, then you don't need to say anything, chances are you'll be kept on.

If you are removed it doesn't mean I don't like you, please don't be offended. I will still be making public posts, only the boring day to day personal stuff will be locked. Interlock and band related stuff will be public, hair pictures will be public, as I know some of you like the picstures ;)

If you rarely comment on my posts, if I rarely comment on yours, but you are avidly reading and would be seriously bitterly dissapointed at not being able to read my really not that exciting journal, and if I don't see/contact you often IRL please comment in the box below, and if I can i'll keep you on (although i can't promise to read your journal.)

The 'defriending' won't happen for a few days yet, as I haven't the time, this is just a heads up.

Please also consider this an opportunity to defriend me - I won't be offended! (although I may mail you to ask to be put back on if I miss you!)

I'm also going to create a 'not work safe' custom gropu, for reading at home - those of you who I am keeping on, but who tend to post lots of nekkid pictures, (or swear a lot, Mr Eris) will be put on there ;)
