It was definitely better than the average Stephen King dramatisation. Have you read the book?

It's an excellent film but TBH it depressed the hell out of me - I couldn't stop thinking about John Coffey wanting to die because of all the evil in the world, and going to his death hated by all but his executioners. I'm bummed out again now just thinking about it. :-(
