There's the speed of light, pretty fucking fast, right? And then there's the speed of sound, not quiet as fast, but still pretty damn fast.

Neither is faster than the speed of which jokes about dead celebrities crop up on the internet.₁

This speed actually defies the laws of accepted physics, and gets faster over time.

The most variable speed is the 'tube minute' - the amount of time between the sign reading 'your destination 1 Min' and the amount of time the tube arrives. This may be any time between 10 seconds and 2 days.

The shortest measureable length of time is the New York Second; the length of time between the light changing to green and the taxi cab behind honking at you.

Hmmmm. I always knew Steve Irwin would not be one to die of old age, but people making jokes when the man hasn't even been dead for 24 hours is just wrong. What utter wankers.

But then, maybe cause I am Australian and I genuinely liked the guy is why I don't find it funny at all.

i genuinely liked him, but i do thonk it is kindof funny. I mean he was always going to go this way. I have to say though, i expected it would be a croc or a snake!!

Better this way than hit by a bus!!
