It's all the fault of Very Nice Weekends, I think. Not that we want to do away with Very Nice Weekends.

Actually I was feeling quite cheerful till I actually got to work (probably on account of the springlike weather).

It was compounded when he accidentally kneed me in the chin, almost knocking me out!! Not a good start to the morning.

I'm giving up on going and going to go and unpack. I'm trying to tempt someone to come keep me company while I do it with pancakes, so far with no success.

People seem wary of my vegan pancakes, with vegan chocolate and vegan cream. I wonder why?

Might go on wednesday though, and hopefully roller skating on thursday...

with the london roller girls! i haven't been yet, i was hoping to go down and just meet them, and say hi - i haven't got all my kit yet either.

i would MUCH rather go with someone else than alone though - which is why i keep putting it off...

i've been at an event and hang out with the girls but not made it to any practises yet. i have a friend staying this thursday but if his plans change then i'm going to head over and hang out too...x

i'd love to, but i've got a youth theatre rehearsal from 10-2. I was hoping to get to the roller girls practice right afterwards. I still need elbow pads - slick willies were going to call me when they got a small size in (i needed large knee pads and small elbow pads! i have skinny elbows and fat knees!!) but they haven't yet. I need to call really and check before i slog down there on the off chance!!

I think i am resigned to not being able to make a saturday practice until the haringey shed show is over, as that will take up most of my saturdays until the end of march :(

have you tried slam city skates?
that's where i'm getting all my pads from...
and what skates did you get from where?
there's so much to get and i don't want to make a mistake and get the wrong stuff so have been deliberating for weeks about it!

i got these and the BSB abec 5 bearings, which the girl i spoke to on email said she'd show me how to fit them. It took a while to find vegan skates, but those are perfect for me - white with pink wheels, exactly what i wanted!

I got the anarchy bulletproof knee and wrist guards, i wanted matching elbow ones, it's just getting them in a small size, i'd rather try them on before i buy just to make sure. Although, mind you, the mediums were deffo too big, so i could order online...

slam city are in covent garden but i think they only carry the pro-skate stuff not hurricane...

vain? i'm the one who spent WEEKS hunting down white skates with pink wheels. I'm still looking for a pink stopper so i can replace the white ones...
