Poor doughy-faced emo Spiderman.

good spider man uses brylcream.

BAD spiderman wears black, and has an emo fringe. He even turned up in a hoodie a one point.

I actually have no words for how disappointed i am. It could have been so good! If you cut out all the MJ rubbish, and concentrated on venom, who is (IMO) the most awesome bad guy ever.... i ♥ venom. And Sam Rami RUINED IT ALL.

MJ is possibly the least sympathetic female lead ever. She's just such a vain, self absorbed slut. They could have cut out 45 minutes and made a really good action film.
Not that keen on Venom to be honest...yes he looks cool but there isn't exactly much depth to the character. The best bits were the fight at the start with mini goblin and the cameo by Bruce Campbell as the French maitre'd.

that's the thing - Venom is really interesting in the comic! There's this whole symbiote being in love with spiderman thing which is why he hates him so much when he's rejected!

Never really read much Spiderman but my impression is that the Venom stuff is a bit old testament in terms of the complexity of who-begat-who, and who is in the suit etc.
I am buying a lot of Marvel stuff these days. Got drawn in by the Civil War sillyness.

When I first saw the angry Gazebo, I was reminded of this-

which is a very old nerd joke. Wonder if there's a connection?
