Some of you may know this, some may not -

My grandfather, Peter Dyneley, was a Thunderbird. More specifically, he played Jeff Tracy who was the Dad, and never got to go anywhere, or drive any of the machines, and therefore no one ever remembers him.

You will know his voice though, as he's the one that said "5...3...4...3...2...1...Thunderbirds are go" which pretty much everyone in the world has heard.

I find it terribly, terribly ironic that his one and only lead credited film has never really been seen, despite being called....... "without question, the finest two-headed monster film ever made" (from here)

Ladies and Gentlemen - i give you ... The MANSTER: Half Man, Half Monster

i swear. i kid you not.

so. yeah. proud i am :)

you can get it from amazon.... so, anyone up for a video evening?

i've never seen it - i found out about it while bored and doing random google searches. i asked my mum about it. She doesn't remember much about the actual film, but told me

While waiting for her dad and stepmum (she was maybe 12 or so?) she noticed what she thought was a photo album, and had a sneaky look. it was a set of stills from the film, but she didn't know this, and thought they were real photos. real photos of her dad being treated by a doctor, and then her day with an eye growing out of his shoulder, and eye that got bigger, and bigger... She was terrfied of her dad for months...

Funny, as we were reading some of the reviews, me ang pog turned to each other and said, 'nick would LOVE this...'

yeah - he was in LOADS of stuff - unfortunately he was usually 'man at back' '3rd galley slave' 'angry man with spade' and so on.
