Does anyone know if this is remotely true?

I've googled for other sources, but pretty much every source I've found cites its source as wikipedia, and i trust nothing on that site unless it's independently verified...

Ok, I've done more googling. you can buy a CD of it from Amazon.de and there's a whole conversation about it on the QI Forums which cites various sources (pre-wiki ones too)

he probably did - as simon said he was known for being puerile. Spods in tweed jackets these days are starting to moot that he may have been a tad autistic or aspergers.
