emmelinemay: (Watchment Night Owl is not Batman)

So I went looking for some Watchmen icons, excited as I am about the film.

I am most pleased by this one of Night Owl.

I also found this:

Which shows exactly why I got so excited watching the trailer. So many of the scenes from the trailer are shot exactly the same was as the comic, same placement, angle, everything. And the characters look so *right*.

Please, PLEASE, gods of movies, please let this be a good one.

It's Zack Snyder who is the same guy that did 300 which was also really close to the graphic novel so it bodes really well so far. I used to have a Rorshach icon but I don't know what I did with it :(

Enjoy! I appreciated it so much more the 2nd time around though, there was so much I missed the fist time because I was so wrapped up in the story, 2nd time through I took my time and was just stunned by the complexity of it.

From what I read, 'the tales of the black freighter' was made separately as an animation that you can watch within the DVD when it comes out.

It is singularly the greatest comic ever written so one cannot help but get a little excited...

A nervous reaction to being so wrong or perhaps he was just a cunt? Guess we'll never know, eh?

The preview got me right back into Smashing Pumpkins for a few weeks...

Night Owl isn't fat enough.

Uncertain about the casting of The Commedian - it's that dozy fella from Everybody Loves Raymond.

Guess we'll see. Certainly looks to have some of the spirit there.

Yeah I noticed they'd made the second generation of heroes younger and more fit...

We can but hope; the screen shots and the trailer do look fantastic.

Hello, by the way :-)
