So kafunked is raising money for charity by joining Movember, and growing a moustache.

I have been very much against him growing a moustache, although he's wanted to for a while, for a number of reasons

1 - I do not like scratchy kisses
2 - I think he will look gay

but I have relented, because this is a really good cause.

We all know men are RUBBISH about going to the doctors when something is wrong. This campaign helps to highlight that sometimes you shouldn't mess with your health - get yourself to the GP, get yourself checked out.

The money raised by Movember is used to raise awareness of men's health issues and donated to The Prostate Cancer Charity which will have an enormous impact on many men's lives and the awareness will help us to fight prostate cancer on every front - through research, support, information and campaigning.

Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men in the UK and around 35,000 men are diagnosed every year. One man dies every hour.

1 in 11 UK men will be diagnosed in their lifetime.

ONE IN ELEVEN. Think how many guys you know. More than eleven? Right? Scary statistic.

Somehow from the facebook team I thought you had to register to donate, and now I seem to have joined the team - people will think I am growing a moustache! :O

My dad was diagnosed a couple of months ago. Paul has also [kind of] agreed to do this - his firm will match any sponsorship amount raised, which is why I was hoping all those partaking whom we knew could band together..?
